Thank you from President Michael F. Baber

Dear Sacred Heart Greenwich community,

Thank you for joining us for the 'Celebration of the Heart.' Witnessing almost 400 members of our community come together, listening to heartfelt stories, and feeling the palpable energy of our shared legacy is truly inspiring. Your presence underscores the significance of this milestone—175 years committed to transformative education by fostering faith, intellect, justice, community, and wisdom.

Our robust foundation has been fortified over 175 years, leading to financial strength, sustainability, and student success, all while staying anchored in our Goals and Criteria. For those who may have missed it, experience a special 175th-anniversary video that captures many voices from our beloved community and illustrates the profound impact of a Sacred Heart Greenwich education.

'Pursuing Excellence,' our five-year strategic plan, is a forward-looking roadmap amplifying our time-honored legacy while integrating contemporary learning approaches and leadership strategies. With each step, we move forward with courage, confidence, and optimism for the future, paving the way for an even brighter future of excellence. Watch our Leadership in Action video to learn how each student’s potential is empowered.

Our future looks bright due to the collective efforts of our students, educators, and you. Each member of our community plays a vital role in advancing our mission. I am inspired by the leadership of our educators and Trustees who have achieved 100% participation in this year’s Fund for Sacred Heart, and of our Alumnae Board and the Class of 2024 students who are rapidly closing in on 100% participation! Your gifts to the 2023-2024 Fund for Sacred Heart, with all contributions applied to the current school year, advance our strategic plan, ensuring we can invest in top teaching talent and enhance programmatic and physical resources to expand opportunities for students

As we celebrate our rich history, we stand on the cusp of exciting new horizons. Let's continue this journey of excellence, fostering a culture of curiosity, compassion, and transformative impact.

Cor Unum,
Michael F. Baber

P.S. We invite you to join us throughout the year at our various liturgical events and celebratory gatherings, such as Heart Homecoming and Reunion on Friday, October 20, and Saturday, October 21.
