Student and Parent Portals
As we prepare for the upcoming academic year, please take time to visit the school website where you will find essential information for the beginning of school. Please read everything carefully, including the Updated Handbook (coming in a few weeks) and make sure to update/sign all necessary forms which are due by August 30, 2023.

Student Handbook
The Sacred Heart handbook provides detailed information about all aspects of life in the Middle School. The handbook will be available later in August and we will share it with the community.

Daily Schedule 2023-2024
The daily schedule for the 2023-2024 school year can be found here.  Please note that Middle School Meeting Time will not follow the rotation and we will be holding Gathering every Friday during that time.

Middle School Attendance
In order for students to excel individually and in order for us to cultivate a strong community, it is essential for students to be present in school. Attendance will be recorded at the beginning of every period, including morning meeting. Students are expected to be on time and attend every scheduled period in their program.  This includes all classes, morning meeting, advisory, chapel, etc.  Students are also expected to attend events that are deemed mandatory such as all-school assemblies, liturgies, retreats, field day, and prize day.

Reporting Attendance
If a student is absent, tardy, or has an early dismissal, a parent/guardian must report this information by 8:00 am using the Student Absent Tracker found in the Parent Portal.

The following school supply list is attached and listed by grade.

Summer Assignments
I am sure students have been working to complete summer assignments. Summer assignments are designed to promote continued learning and ensure we are able to retrieve information learned in the prior year. Please click here to check all your summer assignments.

Uniforms
You can order items on the school website. The Uniform Policy has been updated for the 2023-2024 school year and is linked here.  Please review this with your daughter. We will have uniforms in the Middle School office in the event that any student comes to school out of the dress code.

Please make sure to mark these upcoming dates on your calendar as we launch the year together. The main school calendar is located on our website and can be accessed by logging in and clicking “Calendar” in the heading. This calendar is updated often.

    Optional for all new students Tuesday, August 22 - Thursday, August 24, 8:30 am - 11:00 
  • Orientation

    • ALL students & parents entering Grade 5 and NEW students & parents entering Grades 6-8, Wednesday, August 30, 9:00 am - 10:30 am

  • First Day of School: Tuesday, September 5

  • School begins at 8:00 am with morning meeting

  • Middle School Back to School Night: Wednesday, September 13

  • Mass of the Holy Spirit: Wednesday, September 27 

  • Parent Association Middle School Coffee: Friday, September 22 

  • Parent Book Talk, “Middle School Matters by Phyllis  L. Fagell, LCPC with Middle School Administrators & Teachers, October 11.


Success at Sacred Heart for all New Students
