The Pamela Juan Hayes ’64 Endowment Fund, established in 2021, will generously support the FUTURES program.
FUTURES is a mindset, rooted in the Goals and Criteria, that equips Sacred Heart Greenwich students, through interdisciplinary programming, to build a foundation in financial literacy and entrepreneurship. Through robust academic study, hands-on projects, financial simulations, and career exploration, girls develop the agility, aspiration, and empathy to reimagine solutions, navigate the world of business, and, more broadly, flourish in an evolving world.

Pam was fond of quoting St. Madeleine Sophie Barat’s forward thinking mantra: “Fear of innovation is weakness of mind.” This mission-based, integrated program will continue Pam’s legacy of a deep love of learning, grounded in the Goals and Criteria -- an education of mind and heart that develops women leaders of courage, compassion, conviction, and faith.
Pam devoted her life to the mission of the Society of the Sacred Heart. As a student, alumna, teacher, Middle School Head at Greenwich and 91st Street, and Head of School at San Francisco and Greenwich, Pam was a true child of the Sacred Heart. Pam’s gracious spirit, strong faith, and love of students are her legacy, and this fund will ensure her enduring influence for future generations.

Honoring Mrs. Hayes' legacy
Pam Hayes remarked at a celebration in honor of her 50th year at Sacred Heart Greenwich, “St. Madeleine Sophie's vision, rooted in the love of God, was focused on an all around preparation for intelligent, active, noble, and courageous living.” A leader for our times, Pam’s vision was practical; she recognized the wisdom in Madeleine Sophie’s words: “Times change, and we must change with them.”
In that spirit, Sacred Heart Greenwich launched in 2022-2023 the FUTURES program, a mission-based, integrated program enabling students K-12 to build a mindset for and a foundation in financial literacy and entrepreneurship.
Taking our girls into their FUTURES depends on ‘U’. Thank you for your support building the Pamela Juan Hayes ’64 Endowment Fund.
