MALIKA '20

Malika joined the Intro to Filmmaking class as a freshman. Malika's documentary about her father's seeing eye dog won second place in the Sacred Heart Film Festival.

"I joined Broadcast Journalism because when I was little, I loved to make movies with my sister in the backyard. Every summer, I would come up with a million ideas, and I would write a script for my sister and we would film until it would be too dark to see anything. ...When I saw the Broadcast elective option, I jumped on it because I knew that if I took the course, then I would be able to make films one day that would make people laugh, and cry, and just bring the things that I see in my head to life on a screen."
