In honor of Janet Erskine Stuart, RSCJ, a pioneer in the education of young women, we have established the Stuart Scholarship. Committed to educational excellence throughout her life, Janet Stuart has inspired countless students and educators alike to pursue their dreams. 

The Stuart Scholarship is a merit scholarship of $10,000 awarded to qualified candidates during each of their four years of Upper School at Sacred Heart Greenwich.

To be considered for the Stuart Scholarship, students must complete both the Application for Admission and the Stuart Scholarship Application form and adhere to deadlines noted below. Applicants are considered based on their ISEE results, grades, recommendations, demonstrated leadership, an interview, and a written essay. Finalists are invited to interview with the Scholarship Committee. Scholarships are limited and awarded to incoming and rising ninth grade students.

In honor of Saint Rose Philippine Duchesne, foundress of the first Sacred Heart school in the United States, the Board of Trustees of Sacred Heart Greenwich has established the Rose Scholarship. Saint Philippine was referred by the  to as "Woman-Who-Prays-Always" and is honored as a pioneer, educator, risk taker, and woman of great faith and humility.  

The Rose Philippine Duchesne Scholarship is awarded to an incoming sixth grade student. The Scholarship Committee considers applicants based on their excellence in academics, strength of character, and commitment to their faith. A merit scholarship of $10,000 is awarded to the recipient during each of her years in the Middle School at Sacred Heart Greenwich. 

Apply for The Rose Philippine Duchesne Scholarship

As a member of the international Network of Sacred Heart Schools, our dynamic, cohesive Sacred Heart Greenwich community is built upon the rich religious, cultural and ethic diversities of our students and their families.

The Global Scholar for Faith and Justice receives an annual merit scholarship of $5,000. The recipient will be a new Upper School student who demonstrates notable intellectual curiosity both within and beyond the classroom, an active commitment to her own personal faith, and who uniquely contributes to the robust diversity of our school community. All applicants to Grades 9-12 who also qualify for need-based financial aid are eligible to be named a Global Scholar for Faith and Justice. 

“For the sake of one child, I would have founded the Society." Our foundress, St. Madeleine Sophie Barat made that bold statement, and Sacred Heart Greenwich’s mission is to nurture, challenge, and love each of our students as if she were that one child.

The Sophie’s Daughter Scholarship is awarded to a new student entering Kindergarten - Grade 4, who displays kindness, respect, and emerging academic potential throughout the admission process, and whose parents display a deep understanding of and commitment to the Goals & Criteria of a Sacred Heart education. 

All Lower School applicants who also qualify for need-based tuition assistance will be considered for the Sophie's Daughter Scholarship. 

The Head of School Scholarship is awarded to a student in Kindergarten through Grade 12 who exemplifies the spirit and mission of Sacred Heart Greenwich. Recipients will demonstrate the seeds of an active faith, a sense of curiosity and academic purpose, a growing awareness of the world around them with a desire to affect positive change, an appreciation for kind and respectful relationships, and an openness to new challenges and experiences. All applicants to Sacred Heart Greenwich who qualify for need-based financial aid will be considered for the Head of School Scholarship. 

Cor Unum is rooted in the motto of the Society of the Sacred Heart: “Cor unum et anima una in Corde Jesu.” (One Heart and One Soul in the Heart of Jesus.) At Sacred Heart Greenwich, the Cor Unum Scholarship was established to support a new student in Grade 5 who, in her daily life, exemplifies the spirit of inclusion and respect articulated in Goal IV of the Goals & Criteria, and actively works toward building a Middle School community that walks together as one school, with one heart. 

All applicants to Grade 5 who also qualify for need-based tuition assistance will be considered for the Cor Unum Scholarship.
