Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
The Sacred Heart Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is a committee made up of Sacred Heart Greenwich student-athletes assembled to provide valuable insight and input on the student-athlete experience.
Mission Statement
The mission statement of the Sacred Heart Greenwich Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is to enhance the student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare, acting as a liaison between student-athletes and administrators, and fostering a positive student-athlete experience.
About SAAC
Purpose
1. To generate a student-athlete voice within the Sacred Heart Community
2. To create a vision for student-athlete representation on campus and beyond
Duties
Campus Outreach
- Brainstorm and implement ways to promote SHG Athletics
- Work with the Assistant Athletic Director to promote games on campus- Social Media. Create Videos and promotional posts for Game days, Playoffs, Game Day take-overs, day in the life, etc…
- Coordinate fun and engaging ways to unify athletic teams. Be an active leader in activating and jumpstarting new ideas and programs
Community Service
- Actively seek out community service activities
- work with the Director of Community Service to bring community service projects to campus
- Share community service opportunities with the SAAC and Coaches
Other
- Serve as a liaison between the members respective sport to the committee and the athletic department
- Serve the needs of fellow student-athletes via leadership and support
- Promote a positive student-athlete image on campus and in the community by upholding the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Greenwich
- Assist in the growth and development of the SAACs
- Work to enhance student-athlete well-being on campus
