Leadership Academy
Designed to guide young women to discover their unique leadership skills, the Sacred Heart Leadership Academy is an opportunity for students to further their leadership development in the Upper School at Sacred Heart Greenwich. Following an application process, the student and her grade level of cohorts focus on a specific program for the academic year. Opportunities for personal growth present themselves through active participation in student panels, and workshops designed to develop life skills that address teamwork, communication, resiliency, and resourcefulness. Invited guest speakers share their experiences and wisdom, all with the goal of helping Sacred Heart students use their voices, live compassionately, and positively impact the world.
Participation each year will culminate in earning a certificate for those students that successfully complete the training. Meetings are woven into the academic school day. Students who complete all four years of the program will be presented with a mastery certificate.
Upper School Sports Night, held each September, will launch the program each year for all our student-athletes and families. Sports Night programming will include a presentation on the overall vision of the Athletic Department, programming updates, and a different guest speaker each fall.
Enrollment information will be shared each spring/summer for the subsequent year. Students may choose to opt in or out of the program on a rolling, yearly basis. This program is required for our Varsity captains.
