ZEAL CREATES TIME AND ENERGY WHERE THERE WOULD BE NONE. saint madeleine sophie barat

Our Middle School academic program at Sacred Heart is a holistic experience for mind, body, and spirit. We prepare girls to become “doers” who actively, joyfully engage in all facets of a community—both at school and in the world. Our individualized, student-centered curriculum is relevant and exciting, and empowers our students to navigate new challenges in every arena. For instance, our fifth graders learn about Egypt not only through reading, but by making their own mummies. Middle School students also have hands-on opportunities in machine learning, using a Teachable Machine from Google to collect data, train their data models, and test them. Meanwhile, our Wellness Program teaches them how to maintain a healthy balance in their lives.

In Sacred Heart's supportive girls-only environment, our students feel safe to leave their comfort zones. By taking risks and exploring new opportunities in everything from art to history, they become more resilient. Ultimately, they discover new reservoirs of self-confidence as they acquire the skills they need in reading, writing, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem solving to succeed not only academically, but in their day-to-day lives.
