Media Studies, Design, and Innovation
The Media Studies, Design & Innovation (MDI) department was launched in 2021, creating an exciting interdisciplinary and interdivisional department. Students and faculty are empowered to apply media, technology, and entrepreneurial skills to solve real world issues. Students develop creativity and imagination as communicators, makers, innovators, and creators. Within the MDI department, a "Media Innovation Team" of arts, design, sciences, humanities, and library/technology leaders from all three divisions collaborate to support hands-on learning for our students and faculty. The Innovation Lab was opened in 2022 to provide a space to nurture collaboration and imagination.
