Sacred Heart Greenwich Unveils Exciting Capital Improvements for Lower Campus, Enhanced Educational and Athletic Facilities to Enrich Student Experience

Sacred Heart Greenwich has revealed plans for capital improvements set to transform the Campus landscape. Generously supported by philanthropic contributions, particularly through the Fund for Sacred Heart, these enhancements aim to elevate both educational and athletic experiences for students. With strategic planning at the helm, Sacred Heart Greenwich is poised to embark on an exciting journey of growth and enrichment.

New Putting and Chipping Green
Among the standout upgrades is the installation of a cutting-edge putting and chipping green. This addition signals a new era for the school's golf program, providing students with an invaluable space to refine their skills on Campus. From perfecting short-game techniques to mastering bunker play, students will have the ideal environment to nurture their talents. 

New Tennis Facilities
In addition to the putting green,  plans have been announced to expand our existing tennis courts from six asphalt courts to nine post-tension concrete courts. Construction will commence after the spring tennis season and is expected to be completed by the fall of 2024, weather permitting. 

Lower Campus Outdoor Classroom
In addition to athletic enhancements, Sacred Heart Greenwich is set to establish a Lower Campus outdoor classroom adjacent to Copper Pond. This innovative space, utilizing natural runoff, will foster holistic learning experiences, particularly in the fields of biology and ecology. Scheduled for construction following the completion of the new tennis complex, the outdoor classroom is projected to be ready by spring 2025. Renderings of the envisioned space offer a glimpse into an environment designed to immerse students in hands-on, experiential learning opportunities.
