Sacred Heart Greenwich students in Lower School, Middle School, and Upper School won a total of 26 awards at the 2025 Area 9 Cable Council Educational Access Awareness Awards. The Educational Access Awareness Awards sponsored by the Area 9 Cable Council (A9CC) and Altice were announced May 12.
Students in Lower and Middle school both won the grand prize Repicky Award, a $500 grant for their respective divisions. These awards totaled $1,000 to go towards equipment for the filmmaking program.
Special congratulations to fourth graders Peyton Rohan and Anya Ackerson who won for their claymation film “The Missing Pets,” and eighth graders Eliana Antenucci, Lucy Beatty, & Li Bonito who won for their PSA “Every Minute Counts.”
The Area 9 Cable Council (A9CC) and Altice sponsor this contest yearly to encourage students to develop video production and storytelling skills by creating videos that are relevant to their school and community. The videos have been broadcast throughout the school year on Altice’s Educational Access Channel 78. The Ed Access competition is open to students from Greenwich, Stamford, Norwalk, Darien, New Canaan, Weston, and Westport.
Thank you to Deanna George, Marion Kieltyka, Ryan Oquendo, David Pisani, Leah Principe, and Ellyn Stewart for supporting these students in outstanding filmmaking!
