Sacred Heart Greenwich Pioneers New Partnership with MilkMate

Sacred Heart Greenwich is proud to partner with MilkMate, becoming the first independent school in the nation to install their innovative breast-pumping solution on Campus. This partnership provides faculty with a dedicated, fully equipped space for pumping, making the experience more convenient and supportive. By removing the challenges of transporting equipment and finding appropriate spaces, Sacred Heart Greenwich demonstrates its commitment to creating an environment where faculty feel valued and supported in balancing their professional responsibilities with personal needs.

As a woman-owned company, MilkMate also collaborates with Sacred Heart Greenwich to offer students hands-on externship opportunities, providing real-world experience in entrepreneurship and innovation. This partnership highlights Sacred Heart Greenwich’s commitment to inclusivity, support for women, and fostering experiential learning opportunities that empower the next generation of leaders.

It also offers our students valuable exposure to entrepreneurship, teaching them how innovation can lead to meaningful change in both professional and personal spaces." 

As part of the collaboration, students in the Broadcast and Media Studies Program, led by Bobbi Drummey ‘27 and Claire McMonagle ‘27, created a video documenting this innovative partnership, click here to watch. The video, which highlights the impact of MilkMate’s solution and the school’s commitment to supporting women in the workplace, was written, directed, and edited by students. This creative project has provided students with valuable hands-on experience and further inspired them as they embraced leadership roles in storytelling and media production.

With MilkMate’s FDA-cleared multi-user breast pump and pre-assembled, pre-sterilized recyclable breast shield kits, faculty no longer have to bring their own supplies and can save up to 15 minutes per pumping session by eliminating the need for cleaning and assembly. MilkMate’s solution ensures that Sacred Heart Greenwich’s faculty members have the resources they need to effectively balance parenthood and professional responsibilities.
