Humans of Sacred Heart” – Chloe Hill ’26

What influenced you to become a peer writing tutor for freshman and sophomores?

“I feel like my desire to help people has influenced me to become a peer tutor. I used to have a hard time with writing when I was an underclassman, so being able to help people who might be in the same position as me makes me happy.”

How do you think the Peer Writing Tutoring Program connects students and encourages leadership?

“The Peer Writing Tutoring Program connects students by allowing underclassmen and upperclassmen to be able to connect and help each other. This encourages leadership amongst the juniors and seniors, being upperclassmen, and helping to lead and help the younger members of our Sacred Heart community.”

What has been your favorite part of being a peer tutor so far?

“My favorite part of being a peer tutor is helping people with their writing and helping to lead them to becoming better writers and helping them along with their ideas. I love seeing when the students have a sort of ‘a-ha moment’ and realize how they can expand their ideas to make their writing better.”
