Five Senior Athletes Sign National Letters of Intent to Play Division I Athletics

Sacred Heart Greenwich proudly announces that five senior student-athletes signed their National Letters of Intent (NLI) to take their athletic careers to the next level and play Division I collegiate sports.  On Thursday, November 9, these student-athletes gathered with family, friends, and members of the Sacred Heart Greenwich Athletic Department to commemorate this commitment and recognize their athletic accomplishments.

Laurie Rousseau, Director of Athletics, noted that only seven percent of high school athletics earn the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level. “Your hard work, dedication, and passion have led this to significant achievement,” Mrs. Rousseau said. “We are so proud of you.  I have been so impressed with your dedication, great team play, and love of your sport, but also for the deep love you feel for your teams and school community.  You have led with tremendous sportsmanship and been wonderful mentors to your teammates.”

Congratulations to the following student-athletes:

Ava Lillis- Davidson Lacrosse

Payton Sfreddo- University of Virginia Lacrosse

Kaitlin Robinson- Duke University Lacrosse

Olivia Leahy- Stanford University Lacrosse

Emilia Bernal- Boston College Volleyball

Mrs. Rousseau closed by noting, “There is no question- you wear your Sacred Heart Greenwich uniforms with pride. And while we can’t wait to see you take your talents to the next level, please know, you’ll always have a home here.”
