Artist-in-Residence Rebekah Raye Inspires Students to Celebrate Nature Through Art

Last week, Sacred Heart Greenwich was delighted to host distinguished artist-in-residence, Rebekah Raye. Ms. Raye, an accomplished artist, illustrator, and author, shared her passion for art and nature with students across all grade levels. A native of Maine, Ms. Raye has made a name for herself through vibrant expression in painting and sculpture. Her work is deeply connected to the natural world and celebrates relationships between animals and people. She is the creative force behind several award-winning books, including “The Secret Pool," "The Very Best Bed," and "Bearly There.”

During her residency at Sacred Heart Greenwich, Ms. Raye worked with Upper School science and art classes, held Lower School art workshops, hosted book readings, and supported Lower School students in a dramatic performance of her work. The week culminated in a special book signing event.
