Sacred Heart sophomore receives Youth Award From St. Vincent's Hospital

On April 14th, sophomore Jennifer DiCapua received a Youth Award from St. Vincent’s Hospital Westchester for her outstanding achievements in community service and her commitment to community and the values of St. Vincent’s Hospital. Jenny is the Sophomore Community Service Ambassador and works alongside Upper School Ethics teacher, Mrs. Kerry Bader.

In her role as Ambassador for the Student Council, Jenny collaborates with grade-level ambassadors “to formulate new ideas for outreach in relation to monthly service themes, help create the schedule for upcoming service events, develop the discussion points for communicating the initiative, and communicate directly with upper school students.”

Jenny intends to continue her involvement in social justice and volunteerism and credits her Sacred Heart education for her foundation. “The St. Vincent’s Hospital Award means so much to me. As a student of the Sacred Heart, the Goals and Criteria are close to my heart. In particular, Goal three, a social awareness which impels to action. I feel so fortunate to be a part of Sacred Heart Greenwich, a school community that values and prioritizes community service while building community as a Christian value.”
