Research paper by Choy '20 published in online medical journal

Senior Alexa Choy’s research paper related to her science research internship at Mount Sinai in New York City has been published in a recent edition of SKIN, The Journal of Cutaneous Medicine. SKIN is a bi-monthly, peer-reviewed, online medical journal dedicated to providing new knowledge on all aspects of skin disease.

The title of the research paper is: Biologic Prescribing Patterns Among Mount Sinai Psoriasis Patients: Results of a Retrospective Chart Review. The study analyzed prescribing patterns for biologics among Mount Sinai psoriasis patients, and assessed the relationship between the medicine prescribed and insurance policy. Choy and her fellow researchers determined that the prescribed biologics do vary by insurer and that the most frequently prescribed drug may not be the most effective.

Greenwich Time: Greenwich student finds inspiration close to home for her artwork
