Five Upper School Students win awards in annual Greenwich Magazine Photo Contest

Each year Greenwich Magazine holds a photography contest to capture the spirit and vibe of Greenwich on film. Focused on People, Places and Animals, several Upper School students submitted Greenwich shot from their perspective. Each submission is judged on composition, clarity and creative concept, and five Sacred Heart Greenwich students received awards in the 2019 contest. Upper School Photography teacher Kev Fillmore says "I love starting the year with this contest since we always have so many winners. Seeing your work in print is thrilling and a wonderful opportunity for young artists."

Mia Cesare ’21 placed second and Mia López del Punta ’21 placed third in the People category. In the Animals category, Delfina Gonzalez Lobo ’23 took first place and Saylor Murray ’20 received third. Finally, Isobel Cunningham '22 was awarded a full-page spread in the January issue of the magazine.

The winning photographs are published in the February 2020 issue in the magazine, on newsstands now.
