Ten Sacred Heart student films were selected to be official selections for the 12th annual All American High School Film Festival. This prestigious film festival gets 2,500-3,000 submissions annually and it is the world's largest high school film festival. This Film Festival is unique as the student's films are displayed at the AMC Empire 25 Theaters in Times Square in New York City on October 19-20.

Junior Laurie Starke’s film, “Just One Click”, was selected. This PSA highlights the impact of school shootings through real audio from emergency phone calls.

“I am so grateful for this opportunity to bring awareness to the rising issue of gun violence in the education system.”

Laurie '26

Laurie said, “Our children are our future, and we need to encourage schools to educate children on the warning signs to prevent any future incidents.”

Sophomore Claire McMonagle’s film, “Three Point Triangle” was also selected. This documentary shares the story of Claire’s mom’s journey. This is a huge accomplishment for Claire as she made this film in her first year as a filmmaker.

Claire said, “Three Point Triangle is a documentary I made to share my mom's story with cancer.  I am so grateful it got picked to be shown on a bigger platform. I believe that if people come together, change is made."

I hope my documentary is a small step to find a cure for this terrible disease.
