One Heart Committee

Carmen Hughes P’27, ’31 - Co-Chair: Carmen E. Hughes is the Founder and CEO of Edelweise LLC, a career coaching and corporate diversity consulting firm that enables clients to realize their potential and achieve success beyond what they thought possible.

Hughes worked as a senior executive in sales on the trading floor of a major investment bank. The importance of giving back to her community was instilled in her at a young age and is still part of her ethos today. Hughes is active in various capacities in her community and serves on the Board for Waterside School and Gabrielle’s Wings. She is also a member of the Stamford Council for the United Way of Western Connecticut.

Hughes received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Howard University’s School of Business. She loves to travel with her husband and three kids, play golf and has a passion for running (to date, she has completed two marathons and many half marathons).
